Port of Hirtshals goes digital with INEXTIA maintenance system

10 August, 2018

The Port of Hirtshals wants to optimize operations and safety for both employees and the services the port provides. This will be done by creating transparency, history and overview across the port’s locations and equipment. In connection with visits from the Danish Maritime Authority, INEXTIA will make it significantly easier to find the requested documentation, as it can be quickly searched for in the system.

Hirtshals havn skifter til INEXTIA

Robert Hansen, Boatmaster says, “We are constantly working to improve and streamline our business processes and the documentation of our maintenance and operations. It’s about both safety and streamlining our collaboration with, for example, the Danish Maritime Authority. We have therefore been looking for a digital system that could create clear and easily accessible documentation and history of our maintenance of the port’s vessels.”

Hans Chr. Jensen, Head of Sales explains, “Today, there is great value in using digital systems for storing data and documentation. Having direct access to history and documentation, as well as future and completed jobs from mobile devices, facilitates everyday life and internal workflows. The Port of Hirtshals will quickly feel the benefits of a digital and cloud-based solution in terms of transparency and optimization of resources.”

Safety is paramount for the Port of Hirtshals
The Port of Hirtshals focuses on safety in everyday life and with the implementation of INEXTIA, this focus is increased. Robert Hansen explains, “Our vessels must constantly be ready to go into action, so it’s crucial that we know in practical terms that maintenance has been carried out and that everything is being reviewed as planned. It also gives peace of mind to our crews, who must never doubt the vessels and their own safety, even when working in rough weather”.

Hans Chr. Jensen, Head of Sales, explains, “It’s important for companies to keep track of planned maintenance and documentation. Whether it’s a port, production or supply company, it’s always important that machines and equipment run as planned and without risk of failure – both in terms of operation and safety. I am therefore confident that the Port of Hirtshals will achieve great value and increased safety for employees and vessels with INEXTIA.”
