BWSC’s maintenance team expected a typical CMMS onboarding process. Instead, they were up and running with INEXTIA the very next day, with job planning and dashboards already in use.
When BWSC purchased INEXTIA for their Boiler Plant in Templeboroug, UK, they anticipated a standard rollout. A few weeks to get familiar with the system, align it with their workflows, and gradually bring it into daily use.
But after a short in-person session with project manager, Lars Guldbæk Søndergaard and access to a test database populated with their own plant data, the team was ready to go live almost immediately.
“We actually received a test database to use, and within 24 hours we contacted Lars and asked: can we just go live straight away.” says Plant Manager Matthew Bradley.
During the training session, the team received a hands-on walkthrough of job planning, analytics, and dashboards. They saw how data could be turned into practical insight, with Lars setting up an initial dashboard as part of the session.
The system proved more intuitive than expected. There was no need for long onboarding or step-by-step rollout. The team simply started using it.
“We expected a certain number of weeks of getting up to speed in using it. It was so user friendly so intuitive, we just used it straight away.” Says Maintenance Manager, Nick Smith
Before going live, the team pushed the system to see how it would hold up in real use. The goal was to uncover any weak spots or risks. The result only reinforced their confidence.
“We tried to break the system. But it was so simple to use. We were worried about going live and people making mistakes, corrupting data, and losing the data we got, and that is kind of what we tried to do, and we couldn’t.” says Matthew Bradley, Plant Manager
With their project manager supporting the transition, BWSC went live. INEXTIA was aligned with their maintenance workflow, providing a structure for daily planning, follow-up, and performance tracking.
What's new since the implementation?
The maintenance operation covers recurring routines, corrective tasks and ad‑hoc work, carried out across shifts and in collaboration with external contractors. With many activities running in parallel, maintaining a clear and consistent overview requires structure.
